When I was 18 I recorded an original song at Pumpkin Studio, about a month or so before I graduated from High School. He was a very supportive person, and a wonderful human being.

Dear Diane and Loizzo Family, please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your loved one, Gary. I met Gary back in the 60's when he was playing and learning music with Mr. Teresi's music school band. I'm happy I had that opportunity to get to know him and Gary and the Knightlites. He will be the best musician heaven ever had. God be with you all in your sorrow. I'm so sorry he had to suffer with cancer. I will keep him and all of you in my prayers. Rest in peace Gary.

Thank you Gary for bringing your talents to Frank Pellico and his band. As Frank's keyboard player, I am awed by your contributions. And thank you for my first flying lesson! My husband Bob was never a big fan of being airborne, and we still laugh when we tell the story of Bob being in the back without a headset. You and I knew you were going to have me do a touch and go. Poor Bob thought we were landing! God Bless you and all those who love you.

I met Gary when I worked at WYNR as Colonel Bob. that would have been in the early 60's. I also had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know his parents and his sister. Nothing bad could ever have been said about Gary or his family. I know how he will be missed by his family, my best wishes and prayers go out to them.

I met Gary many years ago with my good friend Peggy. We saw them in Lemont playing in the band as....Gary and the Nightlites. We saw them over the years later as the American Breed as well. Gary was a sweetheart and we will never forget him. He'll live on in our memory through the great music he gave us. RIP Gary....we'll see you again...sing now with the angels!

The Loizzo family and my family grew up together went to the same church on the south side of Chicago, The same high school. My mom was a choir mother at Calvary and she tied the ties for the kids choir she always had to tie Gary's tie twice, He would always have it untied just before he went into church to sing.. He was just a great kid we did so much together, I remember when his dad got him his first record deal, it was a big deal at Church.we were all excited for him. He was my clams to fame and a great guy. RIP Gary, I'm sure he is joking around with my dad .
