Stewart B. Leavitt, age 70. US Navy Veteran with special attachment to the National Institute of Health. Loving husband of Diane nee Dahl. Loving father of Rhiana Rose and Morgan Melissa Leavitt. Dear brother of Dr. William (Lori) Leavitt and Bonni Leavitt Wayne. Fond uncle, relative and friend of many. He was a medical writer and researcher but his passion was painting. A Memorial Visitaion will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral home, 8025 W. Golf Road in Niles. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to JourneyCare Hospice, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025 or to the American Cancer Society appreciated. Stewart was a very smart, talented Man. He was my nephew by marriage. He and Diane and Girls have been a very active part of my family for many years! We have celebrated many holidays together. Always fun to be with Stewie. I have lovely paintings to remember him by. He is with God now and out of his pain and suffering.and He will be missed!
