In my never-ending process of purging books that I own, I flipped thru a wonderful design book today written like a comic book. The Interior Designer´s Launch Pad is a paperback so it did not rise to the level of my usual "Keep" standard, but I was so impressed with the author´s talent that I decided it was a "keeper." I also decided to google Peter Klick to learn more about the man. I was surprised and saddened to discover that he died 7 years ago, in 2016 - and even more surprised at my emotional reaction. A tear drop formed in my eye. I didn´t even know the man and yet, I felt a loss. I wanted to share this story with you because it may give you some comfort knowing that - even in death - your loved one continues to have a positive impact on people.

My condolences to the family and friends of Peter Klick.

I wanted to take a moment to share his impact on my life as a creative type. He was inspiring, direct and full of whit! Many of his stories resonate with me as I journey through my career as a designer. He stretched my imagination, showed me multiple perspectives and kept me laughing in the process. He taught me that the "client is always right"...or at least to allow them to think as much; and that there is no box in terms of thinking. The world will truly be shy of one man's captive imagination and excellence of teaching.

My thoughts are with your family!

Dear Diane, Jimmy, and Jeffrey,

While I understand that telling you how sorry I am for your loss will not help your grief, hopefully it helps just a little when I say that I will always be grateful to Peter for his inspiration, for making me laugh, and his support. He was a great friend to me and while Ingrid and I are truly sorry for the loss of Peter, the thoughts of him always bring a smile.

Our condolences you are in our thoughts.

Sincerely,
Gerry and Ingrid Christensen

My heart is heavy to hear about the loss of Peter Klick. Peter introduced me to my now husband Steven Haulenbeek. I am forever thankful for this introduction at Chairs for Charity in 2011. I am so grateful for knowing Peter. He always put a smile on my face. I had the pleasure of working with him on my independent study at Harrington.

Dearest Diane....

My heart is broken for you and the boys today as I read the obituary for Peter. Such a true love, dear friend........and my memories go so far back to the beginning in Basel when you met. Such a beautiful couple you made.....and then visiting you at your amazing house just outside of Zurich. I still have the books of Peter's work and look at them time to time.
I will continue to hold you close in my heart....with much love..

XO Jone
