Michael James Goldstein of Darien, age 27. Beloved son of Jon and Maria (nee Dellaportas) Goldstein; loving brother of Marc; dear grandson of Demetrios and Theodora Dellaportas and the late Hymen and the late Ruby Goldstein; nephew and cousin to many aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester (2 blks West of Mannheim Rd.) on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:30am followed by procession to Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 2501 S. Wolf Rd., Westchester for 11:00 am Service. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. Memorials to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 115 N. I was one of Michael's teachers at Downers South as well as his advisor in the business club DECA. I just learned of Michael's passing today. Michael was such a pleasure to know & teach. I always joked with him his senior year that I hoped he'd still like me at the end of senior year as I was his teacher for three periods a day! We shared many laughs throughout that year in those classes & in DECA. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathy to you all.

I know Michael is at peace and he wants everyone of us to be at peace. I will miss seeing him at our fantasy baseball draft in St. Louis. However, when I see Marc and Jon, I see Michael. He will always be with us.
