Jay J. Scherer, 85, of Arlington Hts., loving husband of 42 years to Nancy Ruth Scherer (nee Klatt), as well as, second wife, Mary Pat Scherer (nee Ziegler); loved father to Patti (James) Kozlowski, Tom (Beth), Peggy (Ross) Diederich, Kevin (Michelle), Jim (Kathy) and the late John; beloved grandfather to Brian, Bill, Brett, Mary, Jack, Anne, Mark, Mike (Shannon), Sean, Andrew, Katie, Chris and the late Rachel; cherished great-grandfather of Nolan and Blake; dear brother to the late Richard and Jerry. Visitation Monday from 9 am until the 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 3535 Thornwood Ave., Glenview, IL 60025. Interment All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Parkinson Disease Assn., 2050 Pfingsten Rd. WE LOST A GREAT GUY !!
HIS POSITIVE ATTITUDE WAS ALWAYS THERE, EVEN THRU HIS BATTLE WITH PARKINSONS AND THE TRAGIC HUMAN LOSSES OF HIS LFE.
I AM SO HAPPY THAT HE LIVED (AND ME) TO SEE A CUBS WORLD SERIES.
I SHALL MIS OUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATIOS.

I AM SORRY THAT I COULD NOT COME PERSONALLY.

MY CONDOLENCES TO HIS ENTIRE FAMILY !
