I was a former resident of Lake Barrington Shores and Jim and I were neighbors and I worked together with him on the Condo 3 Board. Great friend, neighbor, and very helpful in making LBS better for everyone. Susan(my wife) and I enjoyed Jim and wife Cathy very much at LBS events, parties, neighbor dinners, meeting at the mailbox to get the mail, and just hanging out. We will miss you Jim but know you are looking down on Cathy and all your family and friends!. Great guy and appreciated the service he provided to our country. God Bless!

Jim was a beautiful soul who will be missed by many. We were good friends for over twenty years and I was always impressed with his love of family and loyalty to friends.

He was a man of many talents , many finterests and many friends. His love of life was unparalleled and he was certainly a fighter until the very end.

My deepest condolences to his lovely wife Catherine and to his wonderful family.

Jim was my cousin and, while we were growing up, he always seemed to be doing something interesting or fun. I remember a family party where he played a record designed to teach a parakeet to talk. After five minutes of "pretty blue boy," aunts, uncles and cousins were practically rolling on the floor with laughter. That was Jim's quirky sense of humor! He was an upbeat person who knew how to get a lot of joy out of life. And I still remember all the kind words he spoke to me and my husband the last time we saw him just before we moved to another state. It's so sad to think of him being gone. My deepest condolences to his wife, sisters, daughter, and grandchildren.
