Anita Fiorda

Anita Fiorda, nee Pisterzi, 90 years, of McHenry, beloved wife of the late Pasquale ''Pat''; dear mother of James, Patricia (Gregory) Lofgren and the late Carole; fond sister of Ida Tomassi, Josephine Panici, Otto and the late Hugo Pisterzi; loving grandmother of Vincent Zarlenga Sr., Nancy Kondrchek, Jill Helander, Anthony, Garett Schmitt, James Jr., Jessica Cranston, Ginette Lofgren and the late Janet Zarlenga; great-grandmother of eight; aunt and great-aunt of many. Founder of Fiorda Juvenile Center Belmont and Central. She achieved many accomplishments and awards through various religious actvities at Our Lady of Ransom Church Niles and Church of the Holy Apostles, McHenry. Volunteered her time at Northern Illinios Medical Center, McHenry Soup Kitchen and McHenry Elementry School District. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing and crafts. Resting at Hennessy-Bruno Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W 201 Roosevelt Rd., Oak Brook Terrace (between Rt. 83 and Summit Ave.), Thursday 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 11 a.m. Interment Mount Carmel.
