Beloved son of Stanley Golaszewski (Gola) and Evelyn Golaszewski; loving brother of Linda (David Summers) Golaszewski, Carolyn (Michael Weaver) Golaszewski, Gregory (Robyn) Gola, Anna (John Blaha) Golaszewski and Charlene Grill; dear uncle of Devon Golaszewski, MacKenzie Summers, Taylor and Samantha Gola, Ayden and Duncan Blaha; fond nephew of Teddy (Lori) Golaszewski, Terry (late Henry) Tolczyk, Joseph (Josette) Golaszewski, Raymond (Dottie) Golaszewski, the late Richard (Geraldine) Golaszewski, the late Walter (Doris) Galle, his godmother, Sylvia (Ben) Gasiorowski, the late Irene (late Charles) Grill, the late Marion (Frances) Zapala, the late Edward (Jean) Zapala, the late Alice Zapala, the late Eugene Zapala and the late Dolores (late Robert) Kurcab; also survived by many cousins. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at the funeral home to St. Francis Xavier Church, Spring and Ogden Avenues, LaGrange, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Thinking of you today on your anniversary! I remember all those Fridays after work hitting the OTB and then Alcocks. You were a true definition of what a friend should be. Huge heart!!! I will put some fresh red roses on your grave in the near future. Miss you so much!!! Love ya!

It with great sadness we learned of Rick's passing. Me and my wife have known Rick for many years and we will certainly miss him. We will be sure to keep Rick and his family in our prayers. To the Golaszewski Family -
Almost 40 years ago, I counted Rick as one of my best friends. Together he, Tom Bredel, Mark Konrad and many others made up the nucleus of St. Francis Xavier's Class of 1968.
Although we grew apart as our lives took different paths, I remember with great fondness the friendships and bonds we shared as we grew up in La Grange.
My thoughts and prayers are with you this holiday season.
