TUPELO – Georgia Mae Wade Beck, 89, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Aug. 11, 1924, to Arlander and Lilla Clifton Wade. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pleasant M.B. Church.|
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Mount Pleasant M.B. Church in Tupelo with the Rev. Willie J. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, Osbey W. Beck Jr. (Ola) of Jackson and Robert A. Beck Sr. (Sylvia) of Louisville; two daughters, Barbara A. Crayton (Marvin) of Tupelo and Kay F. Freeman of Tupelo; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Foress Wade and Fred Wade of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert Wade of Columbus; and three sisters-in-law, Clara Wade, Helen Wade and Ruby Wade.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Osbey W. Beck Sr.; one sister, Elnora Wade; and three brothers, Arlander Wade, Durell Wade and Floyd Wade.
Pallbearers will be Robert Beck II, Marcus Crayton, Shields Beck, Bryan Trimble, William Trimble and Demond Wade.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today at Agnew and Sons Funeral Home in Verona.
