TUPELO – Larry Eaves, 59, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 9, 1954, in Columbus, to Gilbert Oakley and Beulah Denton Yates Eaves. He was the general superintendent/project manager for Century Construction, and he had previously worked for Pryor Construction for over 25 years. He was a member of First Evangelical Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and riding his Harley; but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. |
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at King's Gate Worship Center, formerly Good News Church, with the Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Lesia Eaves of Tupelo; two daughters, Jayme Bishop (Jeremy) of Saltillo and Marisa Boatner (Jeffrey) of Guntown; one son, Scott Eaves (Heidi) of Saltillo; three sisters, Barbara Richardson of Columbus, Anita Blake of Palmetto and Teresa McCool (Randy) of Sweetwater, Tenn.; one brother, Rev. Gilbert Dewayne Eaves (Anna) of Meridian; one granddaughter, Jayce Boatner of Guntown; and a special niece, Jackie Shaw of Millport, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, LaRue Farrow; and two brothers, Phillip Eaves and Joel Eaves.
Pallbearers will be Rob Coats, Cory DeWitt, Wagner John, Gary Robison, Kolt Shaw, Chase Shaw and John Mac Peters.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Century Construction Employees.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jeremy and Sylvia Franks at Global Outreach.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
