TUPELO – Maxine Poole, 91, formerly of Greenville, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Tupelo. She was born March 16, 1923, in Little Rock, Miss., to Jessie and Mamie Dallas. She grew up in House, where she attended school and graduated high school. She was a resident of Greenville for many years until she moved to Tupelo with her husband in 1998.

Services will be 11 a.m. today, April 26, at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville. Pastor Brian Amason will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Poole and his wife, Marcia, of Greenville and Mark Poole of Memphis; two daughters, Charlotte Busby and her husband, Jack, and Patsy Griffin and her husband, Tommy, all of Tupelo; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Mamie Dallas; her husband, Homer Poole; and four brothers and sisters.
