TUPELO – Patricia ""Pat"" Spees Dillard, 61, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence. She was born March 15, 1953, in Millington, Tenn., to Trevlyn ""Buddy"" Spees and Nellie Brown. She was a 1971 graduate of Tupelo High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi. During her younger adult years, she taught at Rankin Elementary School for seven years and retired from State Farm Insurance as an adjuster after many years of service.

She was an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoyed all their sports. She had a loving soul, who enjoyed helping others before helping herself. She was affectionately known as ""BamBam"" by her family, close friends and granddaughter. She enjoyed making a regular visit to Florida to be with her daughter, Stacy and her family. Before her health failed, she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tupelo. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Private burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to service time Saturday only.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Stacy, and her husband, Shane, of Miramar Beach, Fla., and their daughter, Ally Davis, of Miramar Beach; and one brother, James ""Jim"" Brown and his wife, Lisa, of Smithville. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Wayne Spees.
