KRISTA NICOLE CONGDON 4-4-78 to 1-18-15 Krista was a much beloved daughter, sister and mother. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly, sister Melissa and parents Michael and Debra Congdon. Services are 2:00 pm, Sat. Jan. 24th at Christian Life Center, 1492 East Ave., Chico, CA.

Case, Sarah Williams - Redlands  
SARAH CASE Sarah Williams Case was born December 20, 1914 near Uniontown, Alabama to Jack and Sarah Elizabeth Williams. Her early years were spent there and in Selma, Alabama. She graduated from Fletcher Academy in North Carolina, where she met her future husband, Earle Case. After completing her education in Greenville, Tennessee to become a registered nurse, she moved to Hinsdale, Illinois to work at Hinsdale Hospital. In 1937, Sarah and Earle were married. They had one son, Del who lives with his wife Lois in Southern California. In 1948, she and Earle moved to California living in the Napa Valley. Sarah worked as a nurse as St. Helena Hospital and the Napa Medical Group. From 1954 to 1959 they lived in Chico where they owned a mortuary. Moving to Southern California, Sarah worked at the White Memorial Hospital and for a medical group in Alhambra. She and Earle returned to Chico in 1983, spending their retirement years here. In 2011, Sarah moved to an independent living facility in Loma Linda where she could be near family members. She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a past member of the Soroptimist Club, the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Chico Women's Club, The Chico Art Club and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Colonies as a descendant of a Sea Captain who came to Jamestown in 1638. Sarah enjoyed gardening, hiking, swimming, golf, oil painting, and needle craft, and was also an accomplished singer. Sarah was predeceased by all seven of her siblings and her husband, Earle. She leaves a son, Del and his wife Lois; two grand-daughters, Tonya Case and Lori Staff; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Paiton Staff; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sarah died peacefully on the 25th of Septem-ber, 2014 in Redlands, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Chico Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 4:00 pm. Friends are wel-come to attend. Castellanos, Nicholas Allan - Coronado  
NICHOLAS ALLAN CASTELLANOS August 2, 1996 - January 16, 2015 Nicholas Allan Castellanos, age 18 passed away suddenly on January 16, 2015. He was born in Santa Monica, California on August 2, 1996 to Leslie Swanson Castellanos and Allan Castellanos. He graduated in 2014 from Coronado High School and just completed his first semester at California State University Chico. Nicholas was a loving, caring son and a loyal friend to all. He especially enjoyed playing lacrosse, participating in the Junior Lifeguard program, surfing, snowboarding, and most of all, spending time with his many friends and family. All who were blessed to know Nicholas will miss his infectious smile, his wonderful sense of humor, his kind heart, his drive and determination to succeed in every endeavor, and his enthusiasm and zest for life. He is survived by his loving parents; his grandparents Douglas and Suzanne Swanson and Heide Castellanos; Aunts and Uncles Douglas Swanson Jr. and wife Courtney Marinis Swanson, and Vivian Hackett; cousins Sarah, Skyler, William and Doug Swanson III, and Zoe and Kaiden Hackett. Nicholas also leaves behind his beloved dogs Jasmine and Indy. A memorial service for Nicholas will be held at Coronado High School Stadium on Neidermeyer Field, Saturday. January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception immediately following at Loew's Coronado Bay Resort. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nicholas' name to Coronado Schools Foundation (201 6th Street, Coronado, CA 92118), Chico State Men's Club Lacrosse Team (2604 Ceanothus, Chico, CA 95973, UF Men's Lacrosse), Coronado Community Animal Rescue and Education Society (P.O. Box 181033, Coronado, CA 92178), or a charity of your choice.
