LUIS ALFONSO MAGALLANES-MOLINA Luis Alfonso Magallanes-Molina, son, husband, father, grandfather, and Firefighter, passed away at the age of 40, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. Luis was a devoted family man and friend to many, as well as a devout Catholic. Luis was born August 29, 1972 in Los Angeles, California and served as a professional Firefighter with CAL FIRE for the last 10 years. Luis was dedicated to serving the public and guiding fellow Firefighters. He spent many hours training younger Firefighters and working to help them with any challenges they may have had. Luis is survived by his wife; parents; four children; and a grandson. A Rosary for Luis will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home, 680 Camellia Way, Chico, CA, followed by a Mass at Saint John's Catholic Church at 416 Chestnut Street, Chico, CA, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow the Mass at the Chico Cemetery.
