Robert "Bob" Link(1939 - 2013)

ROBERT "BOB" LINK 12/24/1939 - 7/10/2013 Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Bob was born in Kansas. His family moved to California when he was 15. He graduated from Los Lomas High School in 1957. Bob raced cars from 1964 through 1971 and was an avid motorsports enthusiast. He and his family operated Link's Appliance in Lafayette and Concord CA 1954-1981. Bob and his wife Dianna moved to their ranch in Bangor, CA in 1980 where they raised squab and cattle. Bob hauled cattle for several years and enjoyed visiting ranches and meeting people. Proceeded in death by his mother Ida Link and father Ort Link, mother in-law Margaret Oates. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dianna, his son Scott and daughter in-law Theresa, and his daughter Leslye Pastorius of MN (Tom). Bob is also survived by granddaughters Dianna Lynn Page (Jason) and Margaret Link and grandson Tony D'Amico, great-granddaughter Victoria Page, sister Bonnie Lippi, father in-law Larry Oates, sisters and brothers in-laws - Cheri and Norm Ironside and Gary and Trish Oates and many nieces and nephews, as well as his loyal dog Sassy. A celebration of Bob's life and lunch will be held at the Bangor Hall 7500 Oro Bangor Hwy., Bangor CA, on Saturday, July 27th, 2013 at 11:30am.
