CATHERINE ECKERMAN Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church, for lifelong Chico resident, Catherine Eckerman. She was 83. Catherine passed away on June 7, 2012 in Chico.
She was born in Chico on April 8, 1929. She was the only child to Frankie O. Cameron Weber and Paul W. Weber. Catherine was raised on the M and T Ranch and she graduated from Chico Senior High School. She married Edward Eckerman in December of 1948. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, and church member. In addition, she worked in the almond harvest and as a church secretary for many years. Catherine enjoyed pets, needlework, baseball, RV travel, gardening and square dancing, and was an avid reader. Her last book she was reading was "Bones would rain from the sky".
Catherine is survived by her son, Donald (Peggy) Eckerman; daughter, Trisha Eckerman (Jim Williams); grandson, Paul (Becky) Eckerman; and great-grandson, Liam Eckerman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eckerman, and grandson, Kevin Eckerman.
