Robert Yount Obituary
He was born on Oct. 20, 1929 in Oklahoma to William and Ada Hatfield. Robert was a musician, singer and songwriter and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is most recognized for the song "Release Me (Let Me Go)." The song has been recorded over 200 times and is listed on the Music Writer's Hall of Fame All Time List. Robert was also a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Robert Blue Yount of San Francisco, Calif.; nephew, Jim Presley of San Diego; nieces, Marilyn "Katie" Fugate of Oroville, Judith Presley of San Francisco and Linda Meredith of Sacramento, as well as many other family members and friends.
A visitation is scheduled on July 6, 2005 from 9 a.m. to noon prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Clovis Cemetery in Clovis, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramsey Funeral Home.
