BONNIE ELOISE DUNN Bonnie Eloise Dunn, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Paradise, April 27, 2014. Bonnie has three daughters, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren , and two great-great-grandchildren. Bonnie's mother Mary Ellen Ormsbee Bernhard, taught school in the little one room school house, a replica of which is situated on the Gold Nugget Museum grounds in Paradise. Bonnie's great grandparents came across the country in covered wagons from Pennsylvania through Donner Pass, arriving in Chico in 1859. At one time Bonnie's grandfather, Myron D. Ormsbee, was a Pony Express rider from Virginia City to Pacific House on what is now Highway 50. He eventually settled in Nord, Butte County, where he was a Postal Clerk and met Bonnie's grandmother.
