JERRY HAMILTON Jerry Hamilton of Chico and Sacramento passed January 18 at the age of 61. He was always positive with his battle with cancer and continued to plan a trip to Sturgis and a cruise even after the 2nd recurrence. His family was the most important thing in his life. An avid cook and shopper, he loved family gatherings and planned well in advance. He enjoyed projects, wood working, pen turning, fishing, bicycle riding, and riding his Harley with his sons and the Teamster Horsemen. Just weeks before spine surgery, he rode on 3 toy drives which were very important to him. He was involved in fundraisers for breast cancer and foster children. Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years Lynn and their 4 children Alysha, Joshua, Lindsay, and Michael, his mother Adrien, father Jack, stepmother Joan, his brothers David and Mark, sisters- in- law Carolyn and Adel, mother- in -law Leasea, brother- in -law, Rodney and his wife Denise, son -in -law Drew, daughter- in- law Tina, 5 grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews, 4 cousins, his Aunt Sharon and her husband Jim, Uncle Bob and his wife Glenda, Uncle Larry and his wife Leslie, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Joe "Papa" Thompson, Uncle Bill, and grandparents. There will be a viewing at Herberger Family Funeral Chapel in Elk Grove, CA the 29th from 1-5PM. Services are Thursday, January 30th at 10AM at the same location followed by a VA service at the VA cemetery in Dixon, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held around 2PM at Golf Green Mobile Estates, Florin Road, Sacramento.
