Lucyle Etha Blehm of Oroville, Calif. passed away November 15 at age 90. Lucyle, one of nine children, was born January 3, 1914 in El Reno, Okla. to Robert and Jessie Driver. Her family moved to Watonga, Okla, where she met and married George "Okie" Blehm in 1928 at age 14.
A son, Robert, was born in 1930 and twin sons, Berle and Merle, were born in 1932. The young family moved to Yakima, Wash. during the depression. They followed Okie's work in underground construction to jobs in Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Australia, and the U.S. Lucyle and Okie divorced in 1974.
Lucyle was preceded in death by son, Robert (1990) and Okie (1994). She is survived by Berle Blehm (Kay) of Oroville, and Merle Blehm (Angi) of Mercer Island, Wash.; two brothers, Elmer Driver (Gerry) of Port Orchard, Wash., and John Driver (Pat) of Springtown, Texas; and sister, Allene Meade (Terry) of Sacramento, Calif. She leaves six granddaughters, a grandson and five great-grandchildren.
Grave side services are at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln St., Oroville. Donations to Oroville SPCA, 2868 South 5th Ave., Oroville, CA 95965 are suggested in lieu of flowers.
Sorensen's Funeral Mortuary are in charge of arrangements.
