1961 - 2012 Obituary Condolences

(1961 - 2012)

Mark Angelo Sauseda was born on August 16, 1961 in Lodi, CA. He passed away June 9, 2012 to be with God after an almost 4 year courageous battle against stage IV colon cancer.

Mark lived his life with enthusiasm and embraced people with his humor and smile. He never met a stranger and was an inspiration to many.

Mark held numerous jobs. He was a professional photographer, a journeyman carpenter, a camera equipment salesman and, for the past 20 years, an Investment and Insurance Broker. After some struggles in his life, Mark dedicated himself to God and devoted himself to becoming a better person. He found he could do this through helping others make good and sound monetary decisions for their futures.

Mark was an amazing coach to many, including his three sons. He coached t-ball, soccer, and basketball, but found his passion coaching wrestling; most recently assisting at Chico Senior High.

Mark is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Michael (Amber), Mason and Morgan; and one granddaughter, Taylor. He is also survived by his father, Felix and his wife, Josephine; brother-in-law, Richard Yamamoto; sisters, Pamela and Corey Sauseda-Floyd (Dwayne); Uncles Nick, Rudy (Ester), and Epi (Rita); aunts, Chuchi Mays (Robert), Lupe Corral, Amelia Valencia, Concha Ruiz (Vincent), and Mary Barrigas. Additionally, Mark is survived by many cousins and second cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Sauseda Family Trust Fund, in care of Brusie Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Enloe Hospice for their excellent care these past weeks.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 13th from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home, and a Celebration of his Life Service and a time of fellowship will be held Thursday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. at The Evangelical Free Church, 1193 Filbert Avenue, Chico, CA. A private interment service will take place following the service.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.brusiefh.com.
