MICHAEL BAXTER Our Beautiful Angel Gone Too Soon! Beloved son of Ron and Karen, Michael John Baxter affectionately known as "Peanut", passed away in his sleep on October 4th, 2013. We adored him and he loved us. Born on May 2nd, 1988, nine weeks premature, he was a fighter from the start. He flourished with the love of his parents, family, and extended family. As he matured he grew into an even more loving, gentle, and kind man. He always had a sparkle in his eye, and we all enjoyed his quirky sense of humor. He touched so many people's lives in his short time on earth. Michael attended Citrus Elementary. His mother feels lucky to have had him in her first grade class. She was "Mrs. Baxter" until 2:30, and then she became Mom again. He went to Chico Junior, and graduated in 2006 from Chico High School. At Chico High he played two years on the volleyball team. During High School and later at Butte College, Michael found his passion for ceramics and created many unique pieces. His love of construction developed while working with his dad. Michael's happy times were spent fishing, being by the ocean, and especially hiking in upper Bidwell Park, "not much will top it!" He had a love for reading, playing his guitar, working out at the gym, and participating in Fantasy Football. "Go Niners!" His friends meant so very much to him. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his parents; Aunts, Ailene (Joe), Sheryl (Ken), and Corky; Uncles, Michael, Jimmy, and Steve (Monica); Cousins Christy, Peggy, Michael, Garrett, Sydney, April, Ryan, Matt, and Austin. A private service will be held. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Michael's life 1-4pm November 16th . In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Michael's memory to the Michael Baxter Memorial Garden Fund in care of Newton-Bracewell Funeral Home in Chico. We love you forever, "Peanut".
