Holland "Dutch" Freeman (1916 - 2014)

HOLLAND "DUTCH" FREEMAN Holland Freeman was born in Westfield, Massachusetts on April 24, 1916. After high school he trained at th Springfield Conservatory studying piano and music theory. Holland got a job playing piano on a cruise ship and also played trumpet in a band. For Cleary Multiplier, Holland created engineering designs for adding machines and calculators. It was here that he met Nadine Thompson, and they were soon married. In 1969 Dutch and Nadine moved to Paradise, CA, and Holland started his own tax preparation business. He also became part owner/manager of the Bobcat Western Wear Store. Holland is survived by a niece, Barbara Freeman, in Florida and a nephew, James Freeman of Redding CA. Graveside service will be held at Paradise Cemetary on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Feather River Hospital Hospice of Paradise. Services under the directon of Rose Chapel Mortuary.
