WILLIAM PATRICK ROBERTS Our beloved William Patrick Roberts went to be with the Lord this past Monday, May 12, 2014. He was 51 years old and a resident of Chico, CA, born in Redwood City, CA on May 23, 1962 to William and Arlene Roberts. Pat as he was known to most, was survived by his mother, Arlene Roberts; sister, April Morris; niece, Nicole Nunn; uncle, Skip Giraldez; aunt, Dotty Giraldez; cousins, Brandon and Chad Giraldez; aunt, Sharon Garner and cousin, Debbie Stuart. He was preceded in death by his father, William Roberts and sister, Brandi Roberts. Pat was a great friend to all. It was said by his friends and family members that he was large in stature but had an even bigger heart. He had a passion for sports and his group of closer friends were involved in fantasy sports leagues for over twenty years. That group and a lot of his other friends affection-ately called him Robo. Of course "Robo" was the league commissioner and had great leadership skills. He was very generous with youth sports and could always be counted on for donations and more importantly showing up at his friend's children's sporting events. Pat loved his family and their vacations over to the coast. Hanging out in Fort Bragg, fishing and visiting the various restaurants and watering holes was his idea of a great time. He loved his dog, Molly and took her with him everywhere and was seen on a daily basis taking her for walks. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the William Patrick Roberts Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Affordable Mortuary who are handling the arrangements. This will benefit youth sports and scholarships for local student/athletes. There will be a small ceremony among close friends and family this coming Monday night. You may send condolences to Pat's family at www.affordablemortuary.net.
