MARVIN "BUTCH" LOPER A military service for Marvin Allen "Butch" Loper, 70 of Orland, California will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, 12:30 p.m. at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Road in Igo, California. Following the service family and friends will gather at the Orland Moose Lodge, 605 5th Street in Orland at 2:00 p.m. Butch passed away on July 17, 2014 at his residence in Orland. He was born on July 23, 1943 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Lucille Loper. Butch served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for forty years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved his Oakland Raiders Football. Butch was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Orland. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Loper; his son, Lance Loper; brothers, Sam and Ronald Loper; sister, Sandy Loper; grandson, Connor Loper and many other loved ones. Memorial contributions in Butch's name may be made to Mooseheart in care of Affordable Mortuary who are handling the arrangements.
