On July 30, 2005, Jennifer Suzanne Hopkins went home to be with the Lord due to a tragic traffic accident in Brush Creek, Calif. Jennifer was born in Oroville, Calif. on April 13, 1980.
She graduated from Las Plumas High School. She attended Butte College and received her degree in Administration of Justice.
Jennifer has been a resident of Oroville for 15 years and has touched the lives of many friends and family who love her dearly. She was a member of Ron Graves' church in Thermalito. She was a high spirited, competitive, unique, warm hearted individual. She was an accomplished fiddle and mandolin player. Jennifer played her fiddle in a wedding for close friends, she played at Shakey's on occasional Friday nights, Old Time Fiddler's, and just for fun for friends and family. She also enjoyed our frequent family/friend get-togethers.
Jennifer loved the woods and the outdoors. She was a fire fighter for the U.S. Forest Service and was very proud of her accomplishments with her job. Some of her hobbies included softball, target shooting, hunting, going out on the lake, horseback riding, but most of all, her love of music.
She is survived by her parents, Ed and Tina Hopkins of Oroville; two brothers, Michael and Bradley Hopkins of Oroville; her grandmother, Elsie Temple of Oroville; her niece, Genae Hopkins of Oroville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jennifer was a very special daughter whose love and kindness will be dearly missed forever. She may have lived a short life, but will leave a long, forever lasting impact on many lives. We love you Jen, Mom, Dad, Michael and Bradley.
