THOMAS NATHAN HULL Thomas Nathan Hull lost his battle with cancer on February 22nd, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Tom was born in Quincy, CA, to Fred and Wanda Hull, and moved to Chico where he went to school until he was twelve and his family bought a ranch in Butte City. After graduation from Princeton High School, he served both in the U.S. Marine Corp and the Army, most of his duty in Germany. Upon discharge from the service, he joined the San Leandro Police Department and retired after 30 years with the rank of Lieutenant. Shortly before joining the police department, he met and married Judith Dixon of Willows, CA, and together they had one daughter, Rachelle. Rachelle graced them with their one and only grandchild, Lillian Marie, in 2008. Tom and Judy moved back to Chico in 1995, the place they always considered "home". Tom loved sailing, backpacking, photography, camping, and fishing and was an avid golfer. Tom expressed his desire not to have formal funeral services. A "Celebration of Life" will be held in Tom's honor at the Hull residence on Thursday, February 28th, between 1:00 and 5:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project in care of Newton-Bracewell Funeral Homes.
