ELIZABETH NADINE MACY Elizabeth Macy, age 87, of Chico, passed on to heaven March 27, 2013 in Red Bluff, California. Elizabeth was born February 27, 1926 in Chico, California, the only daughter of Jesse and Hazel Moss. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of late Tom Macy and by her previous husband John McGraw with whom she had four children. She is survived by Kathy Vail of Chico, CA; Jesse McGraw of Reno, NV; Karen Moore of Chico, CA; and Elizabeth Post of Laton, Utah along with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She attended school in Oakland, California having graduated from Fremont High School. Elizabeth lived for many years raising her family in Sacramento, CA but returned to Chico around 1980 to be close to her parents during their retirement. Elizabeth was an accomplished pianist and organist and was known to play for a time at the First Christian Church, in Chico, where she was an active worshipper. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and was a Red Cross volunteer during the Korean War while her husband John was overseas. Elizabeth is a fourth generation Californian and great granddaughter of a pioneer miner from Magalia, CA, George Henry Riley. She will be interred in the Paradise Cemetery along with her parents and grandparents Walter and Maude Clark and Elizabeth Duer. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, CA. Condolences may be sent on line at BrusieFH.com
