DAVID WORTHY David Herbert Worthy was born October 17, 1958 in Castro Valley, California to William "Bill" and Marie Worthy. In 1968 when David was ten years old his family moved to Chico where he was raised and educated. David was very involved in Boy Scouts and earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. David served in the United States Navy. David moved to the bay area where he went to school to become an apprentice carpenter. He started his own business which he called Two Dad's. He moved to Iowa where he continued his work in carpentry. David also became a long haul truck driver and continued this for many years. David enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandson. David passed away at his home in Iowa Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013. David is survived by his wife; Ronda of Iowa, daughter; Ashley (Jeremy) Lembke of Ames, Iowa, two sons; William "Bill" of Ames, Iowa and Coleman David who is serving in the Marines, a grandson; Jeremy Lembke of Ames, Iowa and his mother Marie Worthy of Chico. David was preceded in death by his father Bill Worthy in 1989, they were both 54 years old when they passed away. A Memorial Service was held April 8, 2013 in Mason City, Iowa.
