MARK EDWIN ALLEN Mark Edwin Allen born December 14, 1957 to Jody Allen-Kilmer and Dan Allen, died April 29, 2013. Mark was born in Chico, California and from birth was a force in everyone's life. His character bloomed fully as a teen in the Monterey Bay Area town of Pacific Grove, where he was the spark that livened up every activity. Very early in life, Mark found himself drawn into the food industry and it became his passion. He spent over 40 years working in, managing and owning restaurants and he was recognized as a Master Chef by the New York Culinary Academy in 2003. In his twenty's Mark found his home in the small mountain town of Greenville, California, where he often said that he could feel God's presence. Mark is survived by his ex-wife and best friend Roberta, their children Joseph and Emily with her spouse Rusty and their daughter Isabella, and his brother Jim Bohon and sisters Jodie Finato and Margie Lawther. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on June 17 at Chico Cemetery. A reception will be held following the services at 12:30 at the Chico Women's Center.
