Francis O'neal Obituary

Francis Lee "Josh" O' neal, 78, of Old Town died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012.
He was born in Pensacola Sept. 18, 1934 to James and Lydia O'neal. He worked for 12 years with the Florida Forest Service, then nine years with Hudson Pulp and Paper and then spent 19 years as supervisor and general manager of Cross City Veneer Mill. He then spent seven years working at Cross City Correctional. He enjoyed entertaining and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and farming. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann O'neal; son, Keith (Jana) O'neal of Cross City; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Lord of Wilcox; grandchildren, Amber (Scott) Crews, Jerry Chewning, Kevin O'neal, Robyn (Troy) O'neal Norton and Joshua (Jessica) O'neal; great-grandchildren, Kinady Crews, Ricky Lord, Madison O'neal, Brody Lord, Zachary O'neal, Kenly Norton, Ryan O'neal, Kage "Big Boy" Norton, Noah O'neal and Isaac O'neal and sisters, Marie Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas and Emma Ruth Rain of Chiefland.
Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Mayo, the Rev. Dwayne Kight and the Rev. Art Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Cross City Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.
