Johnnie Hiers Cone, 91, of Ocala passed away at her home Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.
She was the daughter of John Delma Hiers Sr. and Velma Clyatt Hiers of Chiefland. She was born Sept. 7, 1922 in Echo (Levy County). Johnnie was a graduate of Chiefland High School and Dawson Business College in Tampa.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Cone Graham of Ocala; sons, E.W. (Billy) Cone III and S. Roy Cone II both of Ocala; sister, Helen Hiers Usher of Chiefland; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years. E.W. "Bill" Cone, Jr.; sister, Violet Hiers Crawford; brother, J.D. "Bud" Hiers, Jr. and son-in- law William "Sonny" Graham.
A funeral service was held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.. A graveside service followed at 2 p.m. at Chiefland Cemetery, Chiefland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Dora Children's Home, 301 W 13th Ave Mt Dora, FL 32757 or Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478 in memory of Johnnie H. Cone.

Though we never met in person we had a few phone conversations and Ms Johnnie was always a sweet and kind person. Our prayers go out to the family members.
