Joyce K. Jenkins, 53, of Old Town passed away Oct. 1, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Gainesville, Ga. Sept. 1, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Mallory Jones and Marjorie Hester.
She loved to fish and do crafts and being with her family and friends.
She was a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church in Suwannee.
For the past few years, Joyce worked for the College of Central Florida as a teacher aid for the Life Long Learning Class.
She is survived by her husband, Harry C. Jenkins III of Old Town; four daughters, Sandy Dumas of Lake City, Candy Gabel of Cross City, Brandy Valentine of Cross City, Nicole Jenkins of Old Town; two sons-in-law, Thomas Valentine of Cross City and Mike Dumas of Lake City and 11 grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her son, Adam Charles Jenkins; father, Mallory Jones Sr.; her mother, Marjorie Jones; brothers Walter Jones, Doyle Jones and Mallory Jones Jr.
A private service will be held at the Jenkins' home. She will be laid to rest in the Trenton Cemetery.
