Myron Zack Barley, 72, a life-long resident of Williston, died April 22, 2013, at the palliative care unit of the VA Medical Center.
Zack was born Jan. 23, 1941, in Kendall to the late Elva and J. D. Barley.
Zack proudly served in the United States Air Force and attended the Williston Church of God. He was a Christian and a man of great character and believed in hard work, family, friends and loyalty.
He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, boating, fishing, and family gatherings. Zack was an adventurous man who held a private pilot license and loved gold mining and travelling.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and his sister, Bobbie.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Glenda Baldwin Barley; two sons, Eric (Kellie) Barley and Chad (Heather) Barley; five grandchildren, Justin Darling, Trey Marshall, Colton Barley, Amanda Marshall and Bridget Barley and his brother, Jamie (Dot) Barley and sister Fay (Joe) Vause.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Williston Church of God with Pastor Wes Smith officiating.
