Barton A."Bart" Ward, 53, of Chiefland passed away Feb. 25, 2014 at Shands in Gainesville.

Mr. Ward was born July 21, 1960 in Tifton, Ga. and moved to this area when he was very young. He was a truck driver and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Bart enjoyed hunting, fishing and computers. He was a member of Hardeetown Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Ward of Chiefland; children, Rebekah Turner of Maine, Kira Ward and Ayleah Ward, both of Chiefland; a son, Isaiah Ward of Chiefland;his parents, Conway and Janice Ward of Chiefland; his sisters, Marilyn Elliott of Old Town, Melody Ward and Rose Au both of Chiefland; brothers, Buddy Ward of Ft. Lauderdale, Johnny Ward and Ricky Ward, both of Gainesville; two grandchildren, Selena Escamilla and Joshua Turner.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delilah Ward in 2009.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel with memorial services beginning at 5 p.m. with Pastor Tom Keisler officiating.
