Claude Eugene "Butch" Sikes, 57, of Chiefland, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018.
Butch was the owner of Veteran Drywall and was once a volunteer firefighter for the Fowlers Bluff Fire Department.
He was born and raised in South Florida but moved to Chiefland in 1999 along with his wife, three children, grandmother and aunt. He loved cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising animals. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back if someone was in need. His personality, his kindness and his humor drew people in. He was greatly admired by all that knew him. His love for his family was never ending and never selfish and he never met anyone that wasn't an instant friend. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends and will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jodi Sikes of Chiefland; his oldest daughter, Deanna McDaniel and his son-in-law, James McDaniel of Chiefland; his son, John Sikes of Chiefland; his youngest daughter, Taylor Sikes of Chiefland; his mother, Elizabeth Garcia of Inverness,; his sister, Susan Sikes of Inverness; his nephew, Jake Kuhar of Naples and his sweet companions, Lexie and Mollie.
