Doris Elizabeth Pickern
Doris Elizabeth Pickern, 67, of Old Town died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. She moved to Old Town, from Alabama where she was born, 47 years ago. She was a homemaker. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life. She was a Baptist and enjoyed fishing. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Lamar Pickern of Old Town; two sons, Kenneth Lamar (Azie) Pickern Jr. of Trenton and Tracy (Jennifer Parker) Pickern of Old Town; Missy Pickern of Old Town; sister, Faye Hall of Pensacola; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Thomas Pickern. Funeral services were Oct. 24, at 11 a.m at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Hanshew officiating. Interment followed at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was Oct. 23 at the funeral home. Arrangements were under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.
