Edna Margaret Beaver Ten Broeck, 88, of Clayton, Ga. died Monday, Oct. 7. 2013, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 2, 1925 in Kingston, N.Y., a daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Schrowang) Beaver.
She was a graduate of the Kingston Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse most of her life.
She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was a founding member of Sharing and Caring.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, sewing and working puzzles.
She was married Oct. 4, 1946 to Culver O. Ten Broeck, who preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include children, Sharon (Karl) Kupfer of Richmond Hill, Ga., Alan (Tammy) Ten Broeck of Ormond Beach, Carol (Tom) Lawrence of Ormond Beach, Jane (Ken) Petrie of Lehigh Acres, and Tom (Carolyn) Ten Broeck of Williston; sister, Helen Dzurinko of Monsey, N.Y.; brothers, Joseph Beaver of Alplaus, N.Y. and Vincent Beaver of Ocala; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Ten Broeck; brothers, Paul "Jerry" Beaver, Eugene Beaver and John Beaver and sisters, Annette Martinez and Joan Beaver.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 11 at St. Helena Catholic Church in Clayton, Ga.
