Hugh Francis "Snuffy' McDonald, 70, of Chiefland, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in New York City, N.Y. in April 7, 1943.
He was in the Marine Corps from 1960-1963. He worked as an air condition technician before his retirement. He was active in the church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen and two sons, Mark and Michael McDonald of Chiefland; two brothers, David (Kathleen) of St. Petersburg and Joseph (Donna) of Manchester, N.H.; two sisters, Mary M. McDonald of West Palm Beach and Kathy (Danny) Ward of Pelham, N.H. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norma B. (Conley) McDonald and Hugh H. McDonald and brothers, John Albert, Raymond, Philip and Robert.
Hugh was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chiefland with Father Joe McDonnell officiating.
