She was born to James Dudley and Lorena Cannon Sheffield in Judson, Levy County.
Ina was married to Ted Vernon. The couple had two daughters who survive her, Beverly Cheryl (Vernon-Ripley) Hurst (Gary) and Brenda Sue (Vernon-Deen) Craft (Ed); grandchildren, James Nelus (Stephanie) Ripley, Cecil Deen (Candice) Craft, Katherine Victoria Ripley (Richard) Edmonds, Tracy Craft, Christopher (Emily) Craft, Eugenia Hurst (Alan) Van Sickle; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In later years, after the passing of her first husband, Ted, Ina married Henry Frank Fisher, who preceded her in death.
Ina was a native of Levy County and attended school in her younger years in Levy County and Chiefland. She worked with Western Union in her early adult years. She was also a homemaker and worked in many restaurants as a waitress in Levy and Dixie counties. In her last years, she worked with the state of Florida at the Lancaster Youth Development Center in Trenton and at the Sunland Training Center (formerly Chocatallee) in Gainesville.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gainesville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel, Chiefland with the Revs. Brian Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel at Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.
Divada and Gary Heath officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.
