Jacque Dale Bixby, 73, of Archer, died Dec. 7, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice House in Gainesville.
He was born Jan. 15, 1939 in Elmira, N.Y. to the late Willard and Mary Bixby and moved to Gainesville from New York in 1972. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was a body shop and used car sales business owner. He loved race cars specifically Camaros.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carole Bixby and son, Dale Bixby, both of Archer; daughter, Jacqueline Erickson of Wisconsin; sister, Lucy Swartout of Efrin, N.Y. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Dec. 12 at Countryside Baptist Church in Gainesville with Bro. Bill Keith officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
