James Daniel Hedrick, 68, of Old Town went to be with Jesus Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his home following a long fight with lung cancer.

Mr. Hedrick was born in New Castle, Ind. March 9, 1946. He moved to Pasco County in 1976, enjoying the snow that fell a few weeks after arrival in Florida, and moved to Dixie County in 1985.
He was a building contractor, well driller, water conditioner salesman and repairman, and also owned a lumberyard and hardware store in Old Town for many years.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Bonnie: sons, Scott of Old Town and Rodney of Pickerington, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Mary and grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Jeffrey and his beloved dog, Kandi.
At his request, no funeral is planned but a celebratin of his life will be held in the near future.
