Joe "Swamp Thing" Ricker, 44 of Chiefland died Nov. 2, 2012 in Tampa as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
He was born in Maine July 28, 1968 but has spent most his life in this area. Joe was a truck driver and enjoyed coon hunting, bonfires and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Drema Ricker of Chiefland; sons, Johnathan Ricker of Virginia, Kevin Ricker of Chiefland; stepdaughters, Tiffany Smith, Rosa Smith, stepson Lane Larkin, all of Chiefland; mother, Ethel Ricker of Bell; sister ,Melanie (Kenneth) Bass of Bell; sisters-in-law, Shelba Pierce of Chiefland, Tammy Guillmette of Tampa; brother-in-law, James (Lois) Wells of Trenton; several nieces and nephews and his R.D.H. Trucking Family of Lake City.
'Joe's Day' will take place Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11a.m. at his home, 9491 NW 75th Avenue, Chiefland..
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
