John W. Middleton, 80, of Chiefland departed this earth Nov. 7, 2017 at E.T. York Hospice in Gainesville, with his wife, Sue, by his side.
He was born July 4, 1937 in Camden, N.J. to the late John and Olive Middleton.
He was an active member of the Fisherman Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Chiefland.
John loved Jesus, his wife, Sue and found great enjoyment in riding motorcycles. Together he and Sue toured the United States making many wonderful memories in their travels.
He is survived by his wife, Sue C. Middleton; a son, John W. (Donna) Middleton; daughter, Patricia Higginbotham; stepdaughter, Lisa R. Meese; sister, Sandra (David) Harris; four grandchildren, J.D., Rachel, Tiffany and Mike; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Isabella and extended family, Ricky and Beverly Lowe and family.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Nov. 16 at First Baptist Church of Chiefland with Pastor Gordon Keller officiating.
