Marshall Wallace Phillips, 74, of Chiefland, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, and is now happily reunited with the Lord.

Born July 13, 1939, in Morrisville, Pa., he was a Roman Catholic. A lifetime boater and fisherman, he took great pleasure spending time with friends and family on the Suwannee River and the Gulf of Mexico. He was a hard working business owner and loved spending time at the "office." He served faithfully in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include children: Marty Phillips of Gainesville, Paul Phillips of Tampa, Sheryl Wilfong of New Port Richey, Bradley Phillips of Chiefland, Andrew Phillips of Bronson, Mary Stevenson of Bronson and Kathleen Cook of Jacksonville; their mother, Linda Phillips; close family friend and caretaker, Cindy Huber, sister, Nelda Hampshire, nine grandchildren and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his adored wife. Pamela Phillips; mother, Mildred R. Phillips; father, George W. Phillips and brother, Charles Phillips.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell.
