Pearl Smith Barber, 68, of Gulf Hammock went to be with her Lord May 29, 2014 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland.
She was born in Gulf Hammock to the late R.V. Smith and Pearl Grace Smith of Gulf Hammock.
Mrs. Barber spent most of her life in Levy County. She worked for 37 years as Senior Vice President and head cashier at Perkins State Bank. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Ms. Pearl played basketball for Bronson, she loved to dance, spending time at the beach, sewing, reading, fishing and shopping. But the most dearest and nearest to her heart was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Milton T. Barber of Gulf Hammock; daughter and her husband, April and John Trimm of Bronson; mother, Pearl Grace Smith of Gulf Hammock; sister, Audrey (George) Castell of Orange Park, Lois (Tommy) Livingston of Chiefland, Aline Smith of Gulf Hammock, Inez (Lloyd) Worthington of Williston, Connie (Gerald) Ward of Chiefland and two grandchildren, Sarah and J.R. Trimm.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.V. Smith and one sister.
Funeral services were June 2 at First Baptist Church in Bronson. Interment was at Rosemary Cemetery in Bronson.
