Peggy Ann Ruff Quincey, 84, of Trenton died Sept. 15, 2012 at Haven Hospice of the Tri-Counties in Chiefland.
She was born Oct. 31, 1927 in Flint, Mich. to Van Ruff and Zorah Ann Ward Ruff.
She was a farm wife who worked hard to help on the farm and rear eight children. She enjoyed painting, fishing and a good belly laugh.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by three sons, Brother Danny (Barbara) Quincey of Midland City, Ala., Brother Clifford (Mary) Quincey of Enterprise, Ala. and Jerry (Pam) Quincey of Trenton; four daughters, Zo Ann (Bud) Johnson of Ocala, Kay (Ronnie) Ward of Alto, Ga., Cindy (Ricky) Ward of Alto, Ga. and Pam (Jackie) Morrison of Trenton; 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Quincey; two sons, Van Ruff Quincey and Samuel Bert Quincey; two great-grandsons, Cooper Clynt Whitehurst and Douglas Allen Quincey; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Brother Clifford Quincey, Brother Danny Quincey, Brother Glynn Webber and Brother Jim Countryman officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Arrangements were under the care of Watson Funeral Home, Trenton.
