Robert Mudrick Meeks, 79, of Bronson, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Ellzey, he was a Levy County native. He was a plumber and pipefitter in the construction industry. He was a member of the Ellzey Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Gulf Hammock Hunting Club, member of the NRA, and a retired member of the Local 234 Plumber and Pipefitter Union in Jacksonville. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his top priority was always his family.
Survivors include wife, Mary Meeks; son, John (Stephanie) Meeks; two brothers, Wayne (Cindy) Meeks and Ricky Meeks; three sisters, Shirley Comauex, Carolyn Redmond and Joyce (Wallace) Weeks and and four grandchildren, Liam, Carson, Nolan and Remmie
He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Meeks and his sister, Helen Daniel.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5 at Ellzey Methodist Church with the Rev. Robin Jocelyn officiating. A visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 4 from 6:-8 p.m. at Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland.
