Steve R. Tabor, 56, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at home in Chiefland on the 33rd anniversary of his father Bob Tabor's death.
He was born in St. Petersburg. When he was 4 years old he moved with his family to Lulu in Columbia County. He moved to Chiefland in 1985.
Steve was a carpenter, also a handy man with a variety of skills until double hip replacements disabled him. He will be remembered mostly for his passion and skill as a fisherman.
Steve was a widower. He had no children. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy L. Tabor of Chiefland; his sister, Cindy Warf of Perry; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, at the Haven Hospice Community Center at 1 p.m.
