Timothy J. "Timmy" Ray Sr., 52, of Williston died suddenly Oct. 6, 2012.
He was born Jan. 1, 1960 in Ocala to Lawton and Thelma Ray.
He was a native Floridian. He had lived in Williston for the past 21 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a truck driver and was the owner and operator of TJR Hauling, Inc. He was a hunter and fisherman in his spare time. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved Gator football but he loved his wife/ best friend and his children most of all.
Survivors include his mother, Thelma P. Ray; wife of 21 years, Lisa M. Matus-Ray; his children, Brittany E. Ray, Zachery D. "Zac" Ray, Timothy J. "T.J." Ray Jr., Meghan N. Ray; brother, Edward L. Ray and his granddaughter, Olivia A. Joiner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawton J. Ray.
Graveside services were held Oct. 10 at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens in Dunnellon.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
